Who is someone you admire, why?: My kiddies, they constantly remind me why we need to make a difference for Deaf children across Australia. There are so much potential and supports to be provided for them.
Why are you involved on the DYA Board?: I am one of the founding members of DYA, after pushing for this to happen, I feel very privileged to be involved in DYA from the very beginning alongside with some other wonderful leaders. I strive to continue to make a difference and provide more supports to bring all Deaf children and youths together to celebrate their identity, increase social networks, learn more about their rights and achieve their dreams.

Who is someone you admire, why?: All my friends, for constantly sharing life experiences and encouraging me to do my best.
Why are you involved on the DYA Board?: I first became involved out of curiosity and my passion to support deaf youth Australians and I'm still on the board because I absolutely love what we do! I have been fortunate to be a part of organising many different events and activities around Australia during my time at DYA.

Who is someone you admire, why?: Bill Gates, because he has grown an empire creating so much money that he and his wife donate to charities every year. I also look forward to reading the annual letter from Bill and Melinda Gates as they highlight issues and other observations.
Why are you involved on the DYA Board?: I joined because I wanted to help empower other deaf youths to take on challenges and become future leaders and realise their potential.

Who is someone you admire, why?: I look up to the people around me that make a difference in the world and I hold them in high regard. I am constantly learning how to make a difference and I hope to change things for the better throughout my life.
Why are you involved on the DYA Board?: I began my passion for advocacy when I began teaching basic Auslan, from there, it extended to teaching everyone about Auslan and the Deaf. As a child, Deaf role models have given me many opportunities and it has solidified my wish to pass it on forward to Australian deaf youth
